Established in 2000G.C (1993E.C) in the heart of Addis Ababa, Addis Hiwot General Hospital is a private institution founded by three renowned Ethiopian physicians. With over three decades of combined experience in internal medicine, general and pediatric surgery, and obstetrics and gynecology, the hospital's shareholders have built a reputation for excellence in healthcare.
Starting with modest beginnings in 2000G.C, Addis Hiwot has grown significantly over the years, expanding its services and facilities to meet the evolving needs of the community. Today, the hospital boasts a capacity of over one hundred beds, four modern operating rooms (including one for emergencies), recovery rooms, a state-of-the-art labor ward, ten fully equipped intensive care units for adults, a neonatal intensive care unit, and eight emergency beds.
Addis Hiwot is renowned for its compassionate care, advanced medical equipment, and highly skilled physicians from across Ethiopia. Our commitment to providing exceptional healthcare services has made us a trusted choice for patients seeking quality medical treatment.

Dr Kassahun Kiros is a gynecologist with over 30 years experience. He is also the medical director of the hospital with exemplary management skills.
Dr. Ahmed Abdi
Dr. Ahmed Abdi is a pulmonologist who possesses specialized knowledge and skill in the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary (lung) conditions and diseases, having more than 35 years of service experience.
Prof. Miliard Derbew
Prof. Miliard Derbew is a professor in pediatric surgery practicing more than 30 years in the medical field. He has multiple leadership quality with countless national and international merits.
